Advisory board members for the Doug Flutie Foundation

James Ball, Ed.D., BCBA

James Ball, is a board certified behavior analyst (BCBA), and is currently in private practice as a behavioral specialist. He was most recently vice president of autism services for the YCS: Sawtelle Learning Center Programs headquartered in Montclair, N.J. Dr. Ball has lectured nationally and internationally on topics related to autism including inclusion services, behavioral assessment, social skills training, behavior management, direct instruction, sensory issues and accountability. He has published in the area of social skills, trauma, consultation services, technology and behavior. Dr. Ball is a member of the New Jersey Center for Outreach and Services for the Autism Community (COSAC) Board of Trustees and a member of the COSAC Professional Advisory Board, as well as a past member of the Autism Society of America (ASA) Board of Directors. He currently serves as co-chair of the ASA Panel of Professional Advisors.

Mark Mintz, M.D.

Dr. Mark Mintz attended medical school at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey (UMDNJ)-Robert Wood Johnson Medical School, performed his pediatric residency training at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine/Montefiore Medical Center, and completed a Pediatric Neurology fellowship at UMDNJ-New Jersey Medical School. He is triple-Board Certified in Child Neurology, Pediatrics and Neurodevelopmental Disabilities. Dr. Mintz is on the faculty of the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine and UMDNJ-New Jersey Medical School, and is a member of the medical staffs of The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, Our Lady of Lourdes Medical Center and Weisman Children's Rehabilitation Hospital. Dr. Mintz is widely published in the medical literature, and has been an invited lecturer at a number of national and international conferences. Dr. Mintz functions as the Principle Investigator on a variety of clinical drug trials, has been the Protocol Neurologist for a number of national Pediatric AIDS Clinical Trials, and has participated on an array of committees and task forces of the National Institutes of Health and the New Jersey Governor's office. Additionally, Dr. Mintz has served in the National Health Service Corps of the United States Public Health Service, and has volunteered for medical relief missions

Hugh Streep

Hugh Streep is the Founder and President of NextGen Technology, an engineering and technology leader dedicated to bringing innovative solutions to the management of energy and communication services. He owns two patents in radio frequency technology. Hugh has a very extensive background encompassing many areas of child protection and safety. He is a former Board Member of "Child Safety Associates" and also served on the Executive Committee of the "National Association for Child Abduction Prevention" (http://www.nacap.org/). He also served on the Board of "Building the Future", a charitable organization dedicated to bringing teaching and intervention services to families affected by autism. He is active with the New Jersey Special Olympics and is a Coach at "Will-Moor's School of Gymnastics" United Team. Hugh serves as an adult leader and counselor with the Boy Scouts of America and is an Eagle Scout. Hugh has also been trained under the Lovaas Institute for Early Intervention (LIFE - out of UCLA), in the principals of Applied Behavioral Analysis and Discrete Trial teaching for children with autism and developmental disabilities. He has researched extensively on the subject, and keeps a library of reference materials and videos to supplement his experience. He has attended numerous seminars and courses devoted to the techniques of teaching and interacting with individuals diagnosed with autistic spectrum disorders and has completed the "train the trainer" curriculum with national presenter, Dennis Debbaudt, on Autism and Law Enforcement. Hugh now teaches Autism Awareness for First Responders, which is recognized by the New Jersey Department of Health and Senior Services as an approved continuing education course for police, fire and EMS personnel. Hugh is a member of Medford Emergency Medical Services, Inc., and has served as a volunteer Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) since 1999. He served on their Executive Board as a Trustee in 2001 and 2002, and has served as their Treasurer from 2002 to the present. Hugh is married and the father of three children. His youngest son has autism.

Jennifer Hoheisel, PhD

Jennifer Hoheisel is a professor at Camden County Community College. Hoheisel holds a bachelor's degree in classics from the College of William and Mary, a master's degree in liberal arts from St. John's College and a master's degree in philosophy from Georgetown University. She serves as an adviser to Phi Theta Kappa International Honor Society and is active in course development and academic advisement. She is a board member of Autism Society America's New Jersey Chapter PACT (Parents of Autistic Children Together) and was also PTA Board President for Oaklyn schools as well as PTO President for the Yale School in Cherry Hill. She is a parent of an autistic child.

Alexa Golub

Alexa Golub has a BA in Education from TCNJ. She has been a board member for Autism Society of American's New Jersey Chapter PACT (Parents of Autistic Children Together) and also has participated chairing fundraising events for Cure Autism Now, COSAC, and ARC of NJ. She currently writes the newsletter for PACT, and has attended countless workshops, conferences, and lectures related to autism. She is the parent of an autistic child.
