Durand’s Thrift Store is a non-profit thrift shop whose primary focus is to raise money for Durand. The mission of Durand is to provide quality learning opportunities to individuals with pervasive developmental disorders such as autism, and several other developmental and learning disabilities in a safe environment, and to offer services and resources to their families. Our vision is to continue our tradition of striving to become an exceptional, professional multi-service agency, which is driven by meeting the needs of the individuals we serve and their families. We achieve success by providing a variety of services and programs that impact the lives of the people we serve, which helps build a stronger community for all.

There is a little bit of everything to be found – Seasonal items, furniture, dishes, linens, children’s clothing and toys, sporting goods, ladies clothing and accessories as well as a few select items for men.

In addition to providing inexpensive goods to Woodbury and the larger community, the non-profit Durand Thrift Store, open since October 2009, helps employ adults with special needs, ranging from Downs Syndrome to Autism. These adults help sort through donations, unpack boxes and assist in donation pick-ups. The store is managed by personnel with Durand, an organization serving special needs children and adults throughout South Jersey since 1972. The Thrift Store is located at 549 Evergreen Avenue in the Evergreen Square Shopping Center. According to Susan Sedlack Durand’s Thrift Store Director, “This is a wonderful partnership with the Thrift Store and the larger community.”
We welcome all new or gently used items – children’s toys and clothing, men and women’s clothing, sporting goods, frames and art, furniture, dishes, linens, and other household items. If you have a special talent (gardening, painting, sewing, quilting, etc.) and would like to donate time or treasures, we will gladly receive them. We even do pick-ups in certain situations!
The Durand Thrift Store operates from 10:00 am to 5:00 PM on Monday & Wednesday and 10:00 am to 4:00 PM on Tuesday, Thursday, Friday & Saturday. Donations are always accepted and pick-up of items can be arranged by calling 856-845-8913 or emailing: firstname.lastname@example.org.
